This formula is useful for chronic inflammation and congestion of the prostate with difficulty urinating or a constant need to go but only able to urinate in small amounts.

Saw Palmetto supports nutrition in the tissues of the urinary tract and has been used traditionaly to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.The mode of action is uncertain but it is thought to decrease conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone that promotes growth of the prostate and is implicated in BPH. It may also interfere with binding of dihydrotestosterone receptors in the prostate. It additionally may have anti estrogenic effects. It is indicated for atony of pelvic organs urethritis, impotence and all wasting diseases of the male pelvic organs.

Nettle root is a specific for benign prostatic hyperplasia. The methods of action on the prostate are thought to be an interaction with sex hormone binding globulin, inhibiting the binding of epidermal growth factor to its receptor and inhibition of aromatase.

Pygeum reduces prostate swelling and symptoms due to edema and benign prostatic hyperplasia. it has been useful in decreasing urinary urgency and prostate swelling. preclinical research suggests that pygeum improves bladder contracility.

Cleavers is a relaxing diuretic and a lump of dog. It corrects the inability to pass normal catabolic wastes. Cleavers is a soothing herb used in pelvic problems when a lymphagogue is needed. It is specific for prostate support.
