This is a thermophilic mild greek heirloom yogurt starter culture. These cultures need temperatures between 90-110 degrees in order to ferment and they will make yogurt indefinitely, so long as they are cared for. It has a very thick and creamy texture with mild tartness. Super easy to care for!

A Note On Dosage
There is no one size fits all dose. Dosage varies from individual to individual. The suggested use is just a jumping off point. Each person may need more or less depending on age, weight, sensitivity, etc. In general, for acute conditions you will dose more frequently in larger doses for a short period of time and for chronic conditions you will dose less frequently in smaller doses for an extended period of time. This is something each person has to figure out for themselves but I am happy to answer any questions you may have too!

Kids love it and I love the ease

Posted by Elizabeth on Jul 9th 2025

My kids are loving having a nonstop supply of yogurt and I'm enjoying how easy and much cheaper it is to make than store-bought. I don't know if I just hadn't awakened the bacteria enough until this last round of making it, but it is nice and thick. If I could go back, I would have used double the recommended starter yogurt in the two or three batches after the initial one to really increase the thickness. I'm new to this, so maybe that wouldn't have helped at all. I'm glad I can trust the source!
