Benefits

Jamaican dogwood is a mild narcotic and anodyne. It's a relatively potent sedative known as a remedy to for migraine headaches, neuralgia, and the treatment of insomnia caused by pain, nervous tension, and stress. The bark is anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic making it useful for painful menstrual periods. It is useful in treating the musculoskeletal pain of arthitis and rheumatism.

Warnings

Use with caution with hypotension and in children or pregnant women. May potentiate sedative medications.

A Note On Dosage

There is no one size fits all dose. Dosage varies from individual to individual. The suggested use is just a jumping off point. Each person may need more or less depending on age, weight, sensitivity, etc. In general, for acute conditions you will dose more frequently in larger doses for a short period of time and for chronic conditions you will dose less frequently in smaller doses for an extended period of time. This is something each person has to figure out for themselves but I am happy to answer any questions you may have too!

The Jamaican Dogwood Tincture has been a big help in reducing the pain that I have. It helps much more than a lot of other things I have tried. Will probably purchase again.

The Jamaican Dogwood Tincture has been a big help in reducing the pain of my cervical stenosis. I can take this day and night as it does not cause drowsiness.
